Painting serves as a retreat, a form of meditation where the artist can find their center as well as express and release emotions. A wonderful form of communication to connect with another person(s). It is a visual validation of time well spent leaving the artist with a sense of accomplishment and self-worth. Sharing painting with my students is extremely rewarding as I witness their transformation and growth. I look forward to offering students a supportive environment for learning as well as finding a respite through painting.
